Raat Akeli Hai – (Hindi) Netflix 7/10

The lyrics of the original song sums up the movie perfectly!

It’s a typical whodunit that winds up and around the Zamindars family, Chauvinists and bitchy females all, attacking the mistress also the new bride!

Very many one-liners in the local dialect of a small town of UP you wouldn’t want to miss.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui outshines the rest in Raat Akeli Hai

Radhika Apte is seriously underutilized while Nawazuddin Siddiqui outshines the rest! Ila Arun in an avatar not seen before is extremely tolerant of her son’s expectations while extolling the virtues of women to him in her not so subtle search for a bride. Tigmanshu Dhulia in a cameo is just not enough while newbie Shreedhar Dubey definitely is noticeable and Nishant Dahiya is by far one of the best looking stars here. Would have loved to see more of Aditya Srivastav, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Riya Shukla, and Shweta Tripathi.

The storyline keeps you guessing and just as you think you have figured it all and up pops another clue!
