Story: Superintendent of Police Prithvi Singh (Ronit Bose Roy) plans to kidnap the CM Khushwant Lal Handa (Dalip Tahil) instead of killing him on the operation table. Prithvi is a retired police officer who along with his team — kidnaps the CM for a bone marrow transplant to save his wife’s life. CM Khushwant Lal Handa is the biological father of Prithvi’s wife.
The Season 2 is a lot better than the first season and keeps the viewers glued with its twists and turns.
In this season nothing goes as per Prithvi Singh’s plan, so will he still be able to save his ailing wife?
The twist this time in the series is that the hostage-takers are the ones who are trapped. When Prithvi Singh’s elaborate plan to save his ailing wife gets derailed, Prithvi and his core team, along with a few hostages, are forced to take refuge in a crumbling house.
They are surrounded by a team of police officers with the head of the police force (Kanwaljit Singh) and Prithvi’s replacement in the force, Dutt (Sachin Khurana). Ayesha (Divya Dutta) an ace negotiator in the police force who prides in her ability to analyse people and the situations. But this time the hostage-takers are one step ahead of her.
With a course of 12 episodes, the director has shown a detailed account of events unfolding the resolution of the crisis the hostage-takers face. As the series unfolds, tension builds up inside as well as outside the house.
The series has various tracks that are related to the hostage including a multi-million-dollar deal, the Intelligence bureau office politics, a assassination plot, and a murder investigation. Every track has a connection to the hostage CM Khushwant Lal Handa.
With the central topic is the hostage situation, but there is a greater conspiracy around it. The ink between a bullishly pursued by a keen but mercurial young intelligence officer (Shweta Basu Prasad), and the big corporation behind the twisted plot is well connected to the hostage story. Shibani Dandekar and Dino Morea represent the multi-million-dollar deal.
The most interesting part of the series is where Ayesha unfolds the events and her interaction with Prithvi.
The Season 2 ends with a dramatic climax making it a gripping watch.
