Tujha Tu Majha Mi (TTMM) is a movie for the young generation who are running away from relationship commitments.
Well we have a saying “Marry when you are ready, not when everyone wants.” The movie TTMM is based on the same lines. Jay (Lalit Prabhakar), a travel enthusiast who loves exploring new places is in the same dilemma where his parents want him to get married with his friend. All the preparations are done, he is getting dressed for the big day, but his heart is just not ready for it. That is when he sneaks out of his home and takes his journey to Goa, where he meets Rajashree (Neha Mahajan), a middle-class girl who has big dreams, but is also in a similar situation with her family.
The two meet on a bus to Goa, their journey, which is replete with quarrel and hate. Finally get thrown out of the bus. Jay helps Rajashri when her backpack is stolen. They both start getting acquainted with each other when an unfortunate incident lands them in the police station. This makes them lie to the emotional inspector Bandekar who gets them married in a temple. They play along this drama putting conditions to each other that this relationship is for time being to sort the situation. But their respective parents turn up and they continue the drama.
Their journey is not just the reluctant love story of the protagonists but also a mirror to our society and parents who lock horns over the topic of marriage. It deals with complicated relationships in today’s world and the averseness to the idea of marriage.
Watch TTMM for some good performances from the actors and a refreshing approach to “Marriage”, a topic of concern for the young generation. You watch this romantic drama movie at Disney+Hotstar this weekend.
