After 2017, web series have been crowd-pleasing and also well received by the audience as they came up with the concept where the scripts aren’t banned or censored like it happens with the movies. This resulted in many people starting to lose interest in movies and are moving towards web series for their daily dose of entertainment.
As we have entered the first week of 2021, we thought of coming up with a list of “Top 5 Netflix, ALT Balaji, & TVFPlay Web Series that you can rewatch in 2021″. So, let’s have a look at those web series which you can binge-watch when you are jaded with movies.
- Flames
Year: 2018 Platform: TVFPlay/MX Player
Flames is a romantic comedy series featuring young actors (Ritvik Sahore, Tanya Maniktala, Sunakshi Grover, Shivam Kakar). It shows how teenagers get attracted to each other. This web series will definitely resonate with your college days.
- Lust Stories

Although technically an anthology film, Lust Stories makes it to our list. Let’s explore why? Lust Stories is directed by four critically acclaimed directors: Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, Karan Johar. It describes four short stories exploring love, sex and relationship. Although all four stories are unique but they get connected with a common theme: SEX!

- Yeh Hai Meri Family
Year: 2018 TVFPlay/MX Player
It’s a comedy drama family web series featuring our very own Jassi aka Mona Singh and Vishesh Bansal in the lead roles written by Saurav Khanna. It’s a story of a middle class family of the late 1990s era. If you are really tired with the workload, this series will give you a reason to be happy.

This is India’s first-ever black and white web series, directed by Raghav Subbu. The web series narrates the life of students who move to Kota from Itarsi and their efforts to get into IIT. It was so well-received by the audience that they are eagerly waiting for Season 2 to be released soon.

It’s a mystery thriller web series based on the 2012 book title, “India’s Biggest Cover-up”. Bose: Dead/Alive features National Award winner Rajkummar Rao in the lead role of Subhash Chandra Bose. This series shows how the Indian Government never tried to figure out the mystery of Bose’s life and much more which probably you wouldn’t see in movies due to censor issues.
