What is Ludo movie about?

The film starts in a black and white scene, where the characters talk about life and death, as they go ahead with the game of ludo.

The characters in the four stories are the ludo game and Sattu Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) is the dice that unties these individual stories.

Then, as parallel stories and characters emerge, so do some varying situations with Akash (Aditya Roy Kapoor) and Ahana (Sanya Malhotra) who are in a pickle when they discover that a video clip of them having sex has gone viral on the internet. Ahana has her wedding scheduled in a few days to another man. Akash and Ahana together try to get to the bottom of this clip and who brought them into this situation.

Well, in story number 3, a doting wife, Pinky (Sana Fatima Shaikh) finds out that her husband has been accused of a murder, and runs to her childhood sweetheart, Alok aka Alu (Rajkummar Rao) to help her husband get bailed out.

And in the 4th story, a simple salesman, Rahul (Rohit Saraf), and a nurse have been continuously bullied at work, Sheeja (Pearle Maney) go about their normal days, not knowing that soon their lives will take a dramatic turn.

With games all set, it takes some time to set its world, and reveal the connections. All these characters signify the four colors of the game with Pankaj’s character playing the dice sets the game into motion with a series of actions that endanger the lives of several characters.

In the game of Ludo, Abhishek’s is the red token which depicts anger and passion, Rajkummar and Fatima are the green token that signifies survival, Aditya and Sanya are an easy-going romantic couple that fits perfectly with the yellow token while Rohit and Pearl Maaney’s blue token portrays their innocence.

My Two Cents On Ludo Movie

All these characters use their own ways to come out of their situations where their lives keep intersecting with each other. Anurag Basu in this movie has weaved drama, romance, thrill, and lots of fun, keeping it essentially a black comedy.
