Didn’t recognise the judge as Pratap Pothen until his smooth accent triggered memories of his excellent style in earlier movies.
Venba reopens an old case and old wounds to bring justice to psycho Jothi who has been unfairly maligned as a child kidnapper and killer. The movie highlights the plight of child rapes and has shown the brutality well enough to raise goosebumps. Venba exposes the corrupt system that shields politicians and cops alike.
The beautiful verdant Ooty in monsoon and the music is what soothes our nerves as does Suriya’s narration.
