Lahore Confidential is a contemporary love story that revolves around an Indian Spy Ananya (played by Richa Chadha) and a Pakistani ISI agent Rauf Ahmed Kazmi aka James Spencer (played by Arunoday Singh).
Ananya is a simple girl on a desk job in the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) who has a passion for Urdu literature and dreams of writing a poetry book. With the biggest u-turn of her life, she is sent to Pakistan for a secret intelligence duty in the Indian High Commission in Lahore. It is obvious she is a part of an important mission for India.
She is introduced to Rauf Ahmed Kazmi who is an event organizer and organizes mushairas (Urdu poetic symposium) and other cultural events. They are both brought together by their love for Urdu poetry unknown of each other’s identity.

Lahore Confidential Plot
The true story begins when Ananya and Rauf find out about one another. The story is all about the realities of growing strains across the India-Pakistan border and the plot behind catching the mastermind funding terrorist groups. There are few spoilers in the story where Rauf and Ananya get into an accident and nobody bothers to know what it was all about. While they are on a romantic walk, they are discussing ISI’s plan openly, and nobody hears them. Her trust for Rauf being an Indian Spy looks the dumb part of the character.
Lahore Confidential is a story that you can clearly gauge what the end would be. It could have been a great story of love and deceit but ends very hastily.
