Alpha Movie Plot

“Alpha” takes place in the far off past, around 20,000 years ago, somewhere in Europe. The film makes some valid arguments and educates viewers on the fascinating story of how dogs changed from fierce predators to man’s best friend. A young man named Keda (Kodi Smit-McPhee) is separated from his tribe while hunting buffalo, but he makes an unusual friend in a stray wolf. Together, they embark on a trip home that will change the direction of human history.

The film’s true quality is its breathtaking wide-shot cinematography, which was unjustly overlooked for an Oscar nomination. I really believe that it should have been nominated for the Oscars. Watching Keda (Kodi Smit-McPhee) and Alpha (Smit’s wolf) make their way around the towering mountains and glaciers at sunset is a breathtaking experience. There is not a single problem with the picture itself. Our wolf, Alpha, is stunning and reliable. You’ll come to rely on and take good care of this protector. According to Wikipedia, the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, or “Chuck,” is a relatively recent breed, created in the 1950s by breeding a German shepard with a wolf. Given its canine and wolf parentage, it’s hardly surprising that the Alpha is a beautiful creature with a hybrid’s look.

What’s Good About Alpha?

The film’s music and cinematography steal the show. Joseph S. DeBeasi’s tribal-inspired music and Martin Gschlacht’s lush, romantic sets work well together to make the film’s few really tense moments even more intense.

Alpha is not an awful movie at all. From the first scene through the closing credits, director Albert Hughes keeps your attention intact. As could be anticipated, the graphics and CGI on display here are top-notch. The story, however, is let down by its heavy reliance on graphics. While it may not seem like much, everything is in fine working order. If you ask me, the character of Keda is one of the best. The film’s ending won’t be a letdown, and that’s all that matters. Therefore, it is undeniable that Alpha is worth your while. I am giving Alpha a perfect 10 on 10!
