National Treasure Movie Review:
I watched this movie after listening a lot of good things about it. And after watching I am happy that this movie lived up to its reputation. There is not a dull moment in the movie and it keeps you interested till the end. The story line is good and it is very well supported by the background score/music of the movie. I really liked the music very much. All the actors have given their best and it’s a real treat to watch Nicolas Cage, Justin Bartha and Diane Kruger together in the movie. Nicolas Cage plays (Benjamin Franklin Gates) a historian cum treasure hunter is on a mission to find a treasure. Benjamin is looking for a treasure which has been hidden by “Freemasons“ during American Civil War. At the start of the movie he finds a clue that leads to “Declaration of Independence“ as the next and vital clue to find the treasure. He is not alone in his quest and his friend Riley Poole (Justin Bartha) is with him in his quest. Later on, Diane Kruger (Dr. Abigail Chase) too gets involved in their adventure. Although reluctant at first, but after seeing the secret code on the back of “Declaration of Independence” Abigail gets excited about the whole National Treasure thing and starts helping Benjamin and Riley. The twist in the story comes when Sean Bean (Ian Howe) and FBI starts chasing the “trio”. The whole story after this is exciting and the end of the movie too is very convincing for a viewer. One don’t get disappointed after the end.
Having said all the above nice things about this movie I would like to talk about few weak points of the movie. Well, we all know that U.S.A is the world’s only superpower and it possess an incredible military and technological supremacy that is second to none. But, in the movie Benjamin and Riley steals the “Declaration of Independence” with so much ease that it seems hard to even imagine how this can happen? But, at the end as a viewer you got to digest these things as this is an adventure flick and you must be prepared to see some “exaggerating” scenes in these kind of movies.
My Favorite Characters of The National Treasure Movie:
Nicolas Cage (Benjamin Franklin Gates): Once again a power packed performance by Mr. Cage as we are accustomed of seeing from him. Nicolas Cage has really portrayed the character of Benjamin Gates well in a very convincing manner. He is the USP of the movie without any doubt.
Justin Bartha (Riley Poole): He comes across as a comic computer geek whose character gives some fresh air to the movie, whenever there is too much tension Riley’s lighthearted dialogues ease the atmosphere. In my view this role was made for Justin Bartha and he really has lived to the expectations of this role.
My Rating of The National Treasure Movie:
I have rated this movie 9 out of 10. There is nothing bad about this movie and this is a simple entertainer which everyone will love to watch at least once. Story is good, music is cool and acting is wonderful, what else you would expect from a movie. Just relax for 2 hours and enjoy the movie.
My Verdict of The National Treasure:
For Nicolas Cage fans this is a treat to watch. Even, if you are not a big fan of Nicolas Cage, you will still end up loving this movie based on adventure. The Movie’s name is National Treasure and it lives up to its name to a good degree. In my view if you are looking to watch something entertaining and adventures full of suspense then go for this movie and you won’t regret.
